Meet Anthony

A principal in REDW’s Phoenix office, Anthony has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, specializing in audits of Native American tribal entities, helping them strengthen their internal controls and foster sound financial management. He regularly performs tribal government Single Audits, casino audits of Class II and Class III facilities, and audits of many other industries, including farming, hospitality, retail, construction, and state and local governments. He also regularly provides guidance in the implementation of ever-evolving GASB standards.

Prior to joining REDW, Anthony was a senior manager at Miller, Allen & Co., P.C., one of the most respected CPA firms in Arizona. During his 13 years at Miller, Allen, Anthony worked his way from staff level auditor to senior manager, developing expertise in accounting, financial reporting, employee benefit and retirement plan audits, and Single Audits for a wide range of clients, including tribal governments, tribal casinos and other business enterprises, municipalities, counties, utilities, higher education, school districts, and nonprofit organizations. Miller, Allen merged with REDW in November 2012.

Professional Qualifications and Memberships

Anthony is a CPA licensed to practice in the state of Arizona. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and currently serves on the Arizona State Board of Accountancy’s Certification Advisory Committee.

Publications and Speaking Engagements

Anthony is a regular speaker on the latest developments in governmental accounting, Single Audits, and gaming-related topics. He is a regulator contributor to Indian Gaming Magazine, and has spoken at past Indian Gaming Association conferences.

Community Involvement

An alumnus of Northern Arizona University (NAU), Anthony is very involved in recruiting and other activities at NAU, including presenting on technical and non-technical topics to students of the university’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi. Anthony is also active in his local community of Gilbert, Arizona, and is the past Treasurer of Deer Valley Lutheran Church.
