A leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to the construction and real estate development industries for more than two decades, Dean is well known for the keen technical proficiency and innovative, forward-thinking approach he brings to his work. His strong commitment to the industry has been demonstrated by the time and effort he has devoted over many years to supporting the CFMA as an Associate Member.
“The construction industry is one of my passions, and I have dedicated most of my career to serving both CFMA and the industry at large,†Willingham said, “to have that commitment acknowledged by the CFMA is a true honor.â€
Founded in 1990, the Albuquerque chapter of CFMA is one of more than 90 chapters dedicated to bringing together construction financial professionals and those who serve the construction and related industries. This award is given out annually to an Associate Member who has clearly provided an outstanding level of service to the chapter and its members.
For 10+ years, Dean has served as chair or co-chair of the Annual CFMA Year-end Industry Update Seminar; as chair or co-chair of the Semi-Annual CFMA Benefits Seminar for the last six-plus years; and, prior to this, as chair of the CFMA Annual Golf Tournament for five years. Dean has also received the President’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Construction Industry by the American Subcontractors’ Association of New Mexico, and was also named its Outstanding Member of the Year. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Dean is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®).
