Many Chief Financial Officers are seeing pay increases in 2012, according to a recent compensation survey.  Approximately 74% of U.S. finance executives are receiving pay increases as part of their compensation packages, an increase over the last two years.

In 2011, 66% of CFOs received pay increases while only 43% received increases in 2010.

Public company CFOs are receiving higher compensation than their private company counterparts.  The 2012 base salary for public company CFOs is $286,500, up from $277,400 in 2011.  Private company executives averaged $197,400, slightly less than 2011.
